BOTH parents were artists,draftsmen/how they met, & both of them loved people..I was BORN an artist.
Dad called mumViolet, Queen of Yack, told him I must be the Princess, he said guess so, but HE never met a stranger. I love to lift up someone, make them smile, but if they laugh, my heart's happy.
Dad's humor still w/me, making people laugh runs close 2nd to Art.
I was there in the 60's, I was just REALLY short.
Picasso was still ALIVE!! I saw Picasso LIVE on TV whilst he painted on glass towards the camera..
I told my 4yr old self: THAT is for ME!! I wanted to BE Picasso.
Lost mum Vi to aweful cancer..my awesome stepmom Catherine implored Dad to support my intense art hunger at my young age of 5. My parental units are gone, yet still encourage me clear from Heaven.
Every possible medium growing up..studied Lost Wax casting jewelry 2yrs w/Otto Duecker at Tulsa Edison HS. Choices were pottery or jewelry, clay's not my bag. Google Otto for his amazing Realism.
At OU Fred Jones Fine Arts School, my Major was Painting. Life Drawing, Conceptual Theory, Color Theory, Art History and so forth. I have college transcript with 83credit hours & cannot fathom when I could ever return to college. I accessed Lost Wax in '89, so I'd like to access the equipment again, it's been too long!
I'm a Theraputic Artist/Contractual Visual Artist & Muralist.
I enjoy serving artfully often as possible.
I'm thrilled to have joined Art Conspiracy(LINKS) last year & since then have met many wonderful artists.
